Time-and-Motion Skills For Teachers

What’s it about...?

‘Time-and-Motion’ training focuses on the key areas of day-to-day school life which are crucial to achievement. These six areas are: 1.Operating-in-class 2.Arriving 3.Organising 4.Recording 5.Revising 6.Performing.

How does it help...?

The aim of the training is to create a common language and ‘skill-bank’ for this key area of learning and achievement in order to place it at the heart of the school curriculum. By embedding these six skills into the fabric of the school, including lessons, students will have a greater understanding of these skills and, crucially, a greater ability to develop them in order to realise their potential.

Who is it for...?

Recently Qualified Teachers who feel ready to make the next step beyond subject knowledge. Heads of Department who would like to establish time-and-motion skills throughout their subject-area. More established teachers who would like to add another strategy to their day-to-day teaching.

How does it help...?

Who is it for...?

Students from Years 7-13 who struggle with basic operation in the classroom, leading to frequent removal from lessons. Students who are poorly organised, leading to lack of equipment, incomplete homework and underachievement. Students with poor revision skills, leading to poor attainment.
