Motivation Skills For Teachers

What’s it about...?

‘Motivation’ training focuses on providing strategies which improves students’ self-belief, self-image, self-worth and, crucially, perception of what is possible. There are six skills: 1.Desire 2.Drive 3.Resilience 4.Stamina 5.Confidence 6.Pride.

How does it help...?

The aim of the training is to improve the teacher’s ability to change students’ thought-patterns, re-wiring their internal thought-processes to build resilience, confidence and stamina. The training will show how implementing the six skills in your lessons will significantly improve student motivation, leading to improved exam results.

Who is it for...?

How does it help...?

The training particularly helps to change students’ perception of themselves, removing ‘self-limiting thinking’ which is at the root of low self-esteem, disengagement and underachievement.

Who is it for...?

Students from Year 7-13 who have a history of disengagement, often leading to removal for lessons and low attendance. Students with low self-esteem , often leading to depression and eating disorders. Students who have a history of underachievement, often linked to a trauma.

Motivation Skills For Leaders

What’s it about...?

‘Motivation’ training focuses on the cognitive skills which change people’s mental attitude. By using such skills, school-leaders can, over time, create an ‘attainment culture’ in staff, students and the wider community. The six skills are: 1.Desire 2.Drive 3.Resilience 4.Stamina 5.Confidence 6.Pride

How does it help...?

The training helps leaders to develop a ‘motivation language’ and shows how this language can be embedded throughout the curriculum, including school improvement plans, faculty SEFs and departments medium and long-term planning.

Who is it for...?

Leaders at all levels—from Middle-Leaders, to Senior Leadership to Headteachers. The training may also be helpful in implementing SEAL across the curriculum.
